Lauren Dunn: The Story Behind the Brand

Lauren Dunn, fine artist and CEO of Lauren Dunn Co., originated the acrylic art cutout as a way to share her art with a wider audience, replicating the look and feel of her originals in a modern, versatile form. These unique freestanding pieces have redefined how art can be displayed, offering a fresh and accessible way to bring beauty and personality into any space. From the favorite Christmas Nativity set to florals and Game Day themes, Lauren's acrylic art cutouts are a labor of love that has become her signature offering.

Growing up in Leland, Mississippi, surrounded by the flat lands and endless cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta, Lauren’s earliest artistic inspirations were of this soulful landscape, steeped in culture and heritage. This backdrop still infuses her art today, influencing her use of vibrant colors, layered textures, and the ability to find beauty in life’s simplest moments.
Gifted naturally and formally educated as an artist, Lauren uses a palette knife to create layer upon layer of color, working organically to achieve a loose representation of her subject matter reminiscent of the aged buildings and chipped paint of generations past but with modern appeal.
Lauren’s work has been featured nationally, with appearances in HGTV’s Home Town, Property Brothers, Traditional Home Magazine, and Southern Living Magazine. Despite her success, Lauren remains grounded in the values that guide her—faith, family, and the desire to find beauty in life’s simple, everyday moments.

Lauren resides in Brentwood, Tennessee, with her husband and two boys, where Lauren Dunn Co. is headquartered. Lauren continues to draw inspiration from both the beautiful Mississippi Delta of her youth and the rolling hills of her Tennessee home, continually adding new art and acrylics to her line. Lauren Dunn Co. isn’t just a brand; it’s an invitation to celebrate what matters most. As Lauren often says, “Art has the power to connect us to what we hold dear,” and through her work, Lauren invites others to bring that connection home.
